BlogEMIS

The journalism club works a lot on BlogEMIS during our free time.
One of my classmates started to Vlog about our time here, so definitely check his Vlogs out, they can be found on the BlogEMIS Youtube Channel .
Other than this, all EMISers are busy preparing for the opening ceremony.
As Jose and my English project we decided to come up with an EMIS parody, which might motivate more students to apply and come here next year. The applications will open this upcoming Thursday, the same day as the one on which the opening ceremony will take place.
Everyone is excited and looking forward to the spectacle at the end of the week.

Update

A month and a half ago I arrived here at EMIS. I can remember so many details, which makes it feel like I arrived only yesterday. On the other hand, I am able to think of so many things that we have done already, that nobody would believe me that we did all of these amazing projects/events/etc. in the past  46 days to be exact.

From Orientation week, to the stress of choosing IB subjects, starting classes, shabbat dinners, a trip to the North of Israel, another whole week of vacation, some trips to Tel Aviv, we are here today, having a day off to prepare our parts for the EMIS opening ceremony next Thursday.
Everyone on campus is busy with preparations for the opening ceremony, where we will welcome over 300 guests here on campus.

We still did not completely  start academically yet, but we are slowly getting into a routine.
My CAS activities are pretty much picked by now, Journalism, Hebrew, French, and Debate club, Environmental society, Badminton and Online UWC.
Recently I have spending a remarkable amount of time writing about my time in Israel for various newspapers: Spiegel Austausch Log, BlogEMISDein Plus and # milestone .
There is also an @EMISOnline Twitter account, follow us!

School will start again on Sunday and from there, we will not be having any break until winter break, so everyone in Vienna, see you soon! :)

Adventures in Israel

sunset on our way to the dining hall

The first picture shows the beautiful sunset we get to see everyday on our way to the dining hall - truly beautiful!
On the left you can see the horse stables and the building on the right is our school.
Exploring the North!

The past week has been crazy, I can not even summarize all the great things that happened.
First of all, Naomi (Germany) and Damir (Kasachstan) went to one of my classmates (Amir) for Rosh Hashana.
We visited the beautiful city of Akko, the beach and the Lebanon border.

Video for Online UWC

Back on campus, José (Ecuador), Marie (Canada), Eng (Cambodia) and I decided to sign up for an Online course on sustainability run by UWC.
The first lecture took place on Wednesday and all of us are still amazed.

Hakfar Hayarok

On Thursday, the last day before Autumn break, we were allowed to go to Ramat HaSharon, a little city which is about 15 minutes by foot from campus where we bought some decoration and useful items for our room and stocked up on some snacks at the same time.
